Staytrem Bridge and Vintage 1959 Tall Thimbles?

Does anyone know if the Staytrem bridge posts are long enough to work with the taller 1959 thimbles? I have a feeling that the answer is no but who knows. I am currently using an early '64 Mustang bridge with the longer posts and I have to have it set somewhat high. It works great but I'd like to make the string spacing a little narrower, which the staytrem provides. Thanks for any advice. :)

I have a staytrem on my 59 JM and it works just fine. Action is certainly low and it's got a 0.5 stewmac shim. Hope this helps.

I don't know the diameter of the Staytrem post grub screws but once identified, longer ones should be readily available from multiple sources if you need to go deeper.

If you email Staytrem direct, the guy’s usually quite fast at getting back to any questions man.

I figured what’s the point if he won’t sell one to me? :-/ I bought a few for an artist back when he would ship to the USA. I never got the chance to try it on my own guitar.

So I found a Fender Johnny Marr sig version in my parts bin. Forgot I had it. It doesn’t quite sit high enough. I assume it’s the same height as the actual staytrem version....I’ll email him and ask about that

I suppose I could replace the screws as someone suggested but that’s another thing I’d have to order. That’s not a basic hardware store screw.
I wish I liked the Mastery but I don’t.

I figured it out. It’s the Warmoth neck that I’m using. It’s the vintage model but it sits higher than a true vintage neck. So I’ll def need longer post screws to make it work. :(

So the question is what are the height screw sizes on the Marr and Staytrem ? By comparison, vintage type MIA bridge has 4-40 x 3/8" (ideally conical tip). Metric vintage style has M3. You won't find them in your average hardware store, but they're usually easily found on ebay (although metric sizes are easier to find, and less expensive), eg 4-40 at different lengths ...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Socket-Set-Gru ... 2411474957

Hex key size is 0.05" (1.27mm) on the 4-40's and 1.5mm on the M3's.

If you have a vintage style bridge as well as your Marr bridge and Staytrem bridge you could see if the height screws are interchangeable or not (ie the same size thread). Or maybe someone knows the Marr and Staytrem sizes ?

Thanks for the link! That seller has everything. I have someone in the UK who can buy a bridge for me... might as well.
