I think body weight is a bit overrated in terms of correlation with “tone.”

I feel like good guitars are individuals and sometimes it just works. Sometimes the good ones are heavy, sometimes they’re light, and it’s not really predictable

In any case I feel like whenever I’ve swapped necks, the good sound tends to follow the neck more than the body!

It gets to be a bit of a tradeoff as some of the lighter woods have trouble holding screws and more susceptible to dings.
