I forgot about the Yosemites! Does anyone have experience with those yet?
And I will be the one to hold Larry Csonka down, kiss him so hard, I'll take Larry Csonka's breath away...

Thanks for the list!

A few questions:

The AVRI Set is not the same as the AV65 set that is available now, right?

I'm torn between Q-Pickups, The Creamery Pickups and the AV65. It is going to be my first JM-build.

Q offers three different A5 sets: a 1958 Vintage Correct (7,35 and 8,12 kOhm); then a grey bobbins Hot Bridge, Vintage Neck set (7,68 and 8,10 kOhm) and a Vintage Set (6,98 and 7,19 kOhm). (Why has the Hot Bridge set a lower kOhm value than the vintage correct set?)

The Creamery 58 - is 7,5kOhm and 8,2kOhm so a tad hotter than Qs 58' set

And for the AV65 I did only find 6,8kOhm on the Fender Homepage - but I guess neck & bridge aren't going to have the exact same value, right?

(Lollar, Barfuss and Novak are out of my price-range and GFS is out of the race too atm, Jess Loureiro was another possible source but I left his stuff out of consideration for the reasons others complaint about in the last months).
Qs would be the most "local" alternative with a theoretical 7hours car ride-distance (I would still let him ship them, no worries), The Creamery stuff looks great, but I haven't heard many reviews about either of them. Fenders are the easiest to source (Thomann - as I need plenty of other stuff too from them).

I mostly play Surf-Influenced Garage and Psychedelic Rock. Most of the time with one of my many Fuzz Boxes on... but sometimes clean too.
Which is the one set I should go for?

AFAIK Fender currently sells only the 'Pure Vintage' PV65 set (0992239000) and the individual AVRI (62) neck and bridge pickups (0054444000 and 0054443000).

So I assume they are different, as you suggest, but how the 62 and 65 generation pickups differ from each other I will leave to those with that expertise.

The AV65's pickups (individual part numbers from those guitars are 0094012000 / 0094013000) and the PV65 set (0992239000) are the same according to Riley's description of the latter set ...

The AV65s have both bridge and neck PU around 6.9 kOhm.

Oh, okay. Thank you!

Can anyone say something about the Creamery or Q pickups?

I have 3 Q_pickups sets .
The Jazzmaster vintage set , the Jazzmaster hybrid set and a Custom Jaguar set .

The 3 are awesome . I also have a Jazzmaster with Curtis Novak pickups ( JM-V and JM-FAT ) and the Q_pickups are different but they are really good .
I’m pretty amazed by his jazzzmaster hybrid set .
I also had a Jaguar with Fender Pure Vintage 65 pickups and I prefer The Q_pickups custom set .

Thank you pikmin! I may just try one of his sets! Let's see what happens! :-)
