Awesome work! It's great to have some longer well played passages to really get the vibe for the pickup. A great resource!

Great sounds and great playing, too! I especially enjoy the tunes you're playing in the middle pickup (both on) position.

The sounds are pretty close to my ear.
For me, the Novak bridge sound seems a touch sweeter and cleaner, I think, which is also reflected in the middle position. But both neck offerings sound pretty equally sweet. Nice stuff!

Geez, we're pretty spoilt for choice these days with boutique offerings! ~hallelujah!~

Update!
SP Custom "Jazzmister 62".
HI-Fi Vintage pickup! A less wide bobin than Novak and Lollar, they look like AVRI pup, they sound like a 65 JM, very aerial and twangier than JM-V but not harsh in the Hi frequencies like AVRI pup, SJM-1 or Antiquity II bridge pup.
I really love this set to keep an exact vintage tone.

This is beyond wonderful, thanks so much. I wish this existed for all types of pickups, this makes things so easy.

this seems like a great resource, and thank you for the time you put into it.
further, mtotallywired's contribution is a totally worthy one, i really like the novak's on the bridge selection.

on the other hand, i wish the youtube samples on Jess Loureiro's site were better. based on what i hear in the videos they seem awesome, but the sound quality is not really up there, clipping and so on. some samples without reverb would be nice too, if he could put those up. oh well

i really would like to hear some samples of novak's charlie christians in a JM, anyone got any?

this is most obviously not a JM, so this is slightly OT, but we dont seem to have a decent sample of the CC type pickup in a JM so i will go ahead and call it justified.
these are 3 lollar CC type pickups in a tele. i am really loving the sound of these throughout the whole range, seems like a really appropriate sound for something called a "jazzmaster"

This is a great resource. All of the samples are useful. I think I'm going for Antiquity IIs.

Hey everyone,

The Pickup Whizard in Canada is now putting sound samples up of all his pickups up on his website. However Jaguar, Mustang and Bass VI pickup samples are not uploaded yet. But all his Jazzmaster pickups are there. Check them out here:

http://pickupwizard.com/index.php?pr=Ja ... le_Pickups" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

These are VERY good. From the sound of them they should be up there with Novak and Lollar. Love the FormVar ones! Just about to order a set of his Bass VI pickups. ;D

Awesome resource, thank you so much! Awesome clips, too! This'll be really useful when I have the $$$ to replace my pickups. ::)

Thanks all who put their considerable time and effort into this......new to the Offset's and thoroughly enjoyed listening to all the clips. Can't wait to get to a YouTube-enabled 'puter to watch the vids. Thanks again.

I have a Squier JM and while I love the neck pickup, I want to eventually replace the bridge and now have a good starting point of reference!

Thank you so much for the comparisons. I have been scouring the net for so long trying to find what replacement pickups I would put into a jazzmaster and it's unanimous-lollars win for me!

Wow, what a great resource. I've been considering alternative pickups for my Jazzmaster and this helps tremendously.

Nice!! I like the Kami, Anty-Q II's and Novaks best......they're all similar but after an hour a/b-ing, those stood out. Bless you for your extensive work!

Wow, thanks for all of this. As I'm gearing up to build my next JM, and am stuck choosing pups, this really comes in handy!
