A weird jagstang / strat / red special hybrid
Strat neck , trem and pups
Semi Hollow Construction ( center Block ends after the trem )
pups will be wired in series With on/off switches and push/pull pots for phase switching
I have no idea how this will turn out , just got to build the stuff my brain throws at me

Looks very cool, what's the body construction/ how'd you do the white stripe?Toots wrote:I bought a set of pickups from Adeson and I got nothing to put them in so I am building this.
I am making it up as I go, using mostly stuff I have laying around.

It's a three layer sandwich.antisymmetric wrote:

I want to do an open pore finish so I had to figure out a way to cover the glue lines. The white line is a thick binding. I put it on before glueing on the top layer.
It got some big chambers so it is quite light.

Re: What's on your workbench right now?
After a long evening of rewiring the JSDR for egosheep, it's almost complete. Just need to install the tuners + conversion bushings, along with the Staytrem arm.
Switching works like this:
-horizontal slide switches select either coil or both coils on each WRHB
-rhythm switch engages both WRHBs in series (in whichever coil configuration is selected), bypassing the 3-way switch
This seems like it'll be pretty versatile. I need to get it all set up before I'll know for sure.

That jag is exceptionally cool. I've been jonesing to put some wide range pickups in an offset.

Yeah, this has been 'sold' for nearly a year while ego and I have worked out the details of the rewire and payment plan stuff. I'm super excited to see it coming together again, but damn I'm going to miss it. It's a hell of a guitar.tylerforyou wrote:That jag is exceptionally cool. Objective proof that WHRBs make everything look cooler (and that you can almost never have too much chrome on a Jag).jacobyjd wrote:

Love the look man. Very cool. I just bought one of those replacement rythym circuit plates with the two on-off-on sliders too!jacobyjd wrote:

I'm stripping the finish on my Strazz (Strat on a Jazz body) and in the meantime, building a jewelry stand/storage for my girlfriend. Like so many others on here, I just love woodworking. I've got tons of wood from disassembled and leftover projects that didn't work or never got finished...

Quick mock-up. Electronics and knobs are on order, should be here Monday. I cut the headstock veneer to a rough fit, just need to smooth up the edges.
Should have it finished this week.
