Morning update:
My bridge has cleared customs at Keasbey, NJ. It's close now, only one state to the west.
Can't wait!!

Re: Tuffset Bridge
Mine is on the usps delivery truck now, should be here in the next hour or so. I think Copacetic was the first in the US to get his. I think it showed up earlier in the week.

Mine's also on the way, I think. I've been following the tracking for over a week, but it's still in Great Britain.
Until it arrives stateside -- bon voyage, Tuffset!

Re: Tuffset Bridge
I didn't find out about the tuffset until just after the first preorder closed, but I'll be definitely be surfing the second wave when it opens in a few days.
Very intrigued to hear what everyone here thinks. Godspeed on those deliveries!

KEASBEY IS IN MY STATE! IT'S SOOOOOO CLOSE!!! Doesn't seem to have been passed off to USPS, yet, though.
My best friend lives in Morristown and the Keasbey (apparently pronounced "KAYS-bee"[5]) lived in what is now Macculloch Hall, which is also now a museum.

To continue with my theme of futuristicness I think I'm going to put it on my Enterprise Jazzmaster.walterwiseman wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 11:32 pmI didn't find out about the tuffset until just after the first preorder closed, but I'll be definitely be surfing the second wave when it opens in a few days.

Same here.
Seems like the parcel monkey is a bit shy about overseas travel - it’s just been bouncing around processing centres in the UK so far.
Be brave, little monkey!

Re: Tuffset Bridge
I got mine, the problem is the guitar I’m building is nowhere near ready for it. Body, check, neck, check, bridge, check……. That’s about all I got, and still got some routing to do before final sanding and paint. Plus all the rest of the hardware and parts I need. Tempted to throw it in my JM but I’ll end up having to readjust everything when it goes back to the planned guitar.
Hey Deed_pole, is there a set radius these bridges ship with? If it’s 9.5, I’ll probably go ahead and throw it in the JM for the time being, as the new build is compound radius and was a big part of the appeal of picking up the tuff set.

Re: Tuffset Bridge
Awesome!!! I'm so glad it's arrived - they actually ship with all the saddles at minimum height, but it shouldn't be too difficult to adjust to any guitar and the only difference between installing it for the first time and *reinstalling* it in a different guitar is that you need to remember to remove the locking followers from the posts before making adjustments - that's about it!gibs wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 6:43 pmI got mine, the problem is the guitar I’m building is nowhere near ready for it. So I'd encourage you to fit it to the JM and that will help you get familiar with how it works and what it can do, so by the time you fit it to your compound radius project guitar, you'll know exactly what you're doing!
Cheers and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!!

Re: Tuffset Bridge
I just bit the bullet and put my email down for the next wave to be released...really curious to see the effect it will have on my '61 JM (if I manage to get my hands on one of the bridges, that is!)

Re: Tuffset Bridge
My bridge is finally in my town.
Only took about 5 days to travel the 70 miles (2.25 travel hours) from Keasbey, NJ to my town on LI.
Can't wait to get it. Will it be there when I get home today? tomorrow? Thursday? Friday?
Who knows?
However, thanks to GilmourD (david gilmour? who knew?), I now know to correctly pronounce Keasbey. So, that's a win.
