the first XII's came with Double line Klusons.
I think it's time to try the Tonepros Klusons. I've tried most Kluson replicas, but i want double line for this.
i am worried that the D lines in the Kluson green box are just rebadged Pings.
Anyone have experience with Tonepros? They're supposed to be VERY good.

I haven't tried them, but are they really as the ones pictured there? If so, you'll have to cut and grind most of them so they fit inline... That's a heck of a hassle, no?

Ahh - that covers the "blue" thing. Inca Silver with pearloid would be a great XII look too.

I think there's actually a thread like that from way back!
I even think it was Fullerplast that started it...

David and Jerker are messing with my plans! Gold... silver, ocean turquoise... argh!
i just found Charcoal Frost Metallic aerosol. Maybe i'll do a nice XII in a colour no-one else has......

back on topic, charcoal frost could be great with the pearloid pg. my tele deluxe is some sort of charcoal frost/pewter type color. older refin. looks killer. black pickguard and maple neck though

Well, you can't go wrong with all those colours, IMO.... except charcoal frost, which I think is pretty drab.
