P-90 routs

do dogears and soapbars require different routs, or are they the same?
don´t worry, i´m not putting P-90s in any of my JMs, i´m thinking of building a warmoth SG jr...

I think the basic footprint is the same for both the pickups, but I think that dogears require a shallower rout than soapbars.

No, it isn't a P90, nor a P100. It's a single-coil .. a wide-bobbin paragon amongst single-coils.

The Jazzmaster pickup is a little thinner and wider than a P-90, but the bigger difference is a Jazzmaster pickup uses Rod magnets and the P-90 uses bar magnets and metal poles. The different magnet styles create a different magnetic field which drastically alters the tone.
