SX Liquid 12 String Conversion

I am picking up a project I set in motion at the beginning of the year, before having to take a pause from any extra-curricular activities so I could finish up my licensing exams.
I am converting an SX Liquid to a 12 string.
The guitar has a TOM bridge, which I have replaced with a 12 string version of a TOM. I ordered a 12 string neck from Best Guitar Parts (bestguitarparts.com). A note on the neck: for the most part it is good work, but the fretwork at the edges is shit, with pretty much every fret having a sharp edge.
I think I have found a paint that pretty closely matches the body color, and I am going to match the headstock, but finish the rest with TruOil.
I am also going to replace the three P90s with two Jazzmaster pickups.
The first thing I need to decide is on the pickguard design. The SX Liquid's volume knob is in a very unfortunate location, getting in the way of playing. So I am moving controls down the body. I have two designs for the pickguard, one that takes the guard quite far down the body, the other that is based on the Jaguar.
Large Pickguard:
Jaguar Style Pickguard:
Right now I am leaning toward the first design, although it is a huge pickguard.
