Nice to hear you're pleased. Someone on the forum recently found them to be not-so-trebly. What value pots did you use?

Also, are the covers user-replaceable? I (mistakenly) thought they had integrated covers.

I used 500k pots. And a .001 cap for a treble bleed.

He has a couple different spacings. I did have to put a small notch in the corner to snake the lead out as the pickup fills up the entire cover. I used a small drill bit to make a sort of half circle just on the edge of the base of the cover. Nothing visible from the top. They’re a tight fit in a standard cover. But they fit. The covers they ship with are totally fine (and notched). I just wanted to use my Danocaster covers.
Nice. They definitely look "stealthy" in those aged covers - would not guess that that guitar had high-tech humcanceling pickups in there!

Cool to know that there's a great alternative to standard JM pickups, but DAMN, that Jazzmaster is gorgeous. Perfect color combination.

They got to StL quick for a custom order coming from Australia, exactly 3 weeks.
Kinman operates out of the Philippines these days, if this unnecessarily-outraged forum post is still accurate.

I came very close to ordering a Kinman humbucker for an upcoming project, but in the end I decided I couldn't justify spending almost $300 (AUD) on a single pickup. Good to know that they're worth the price, though. They'll likely tempt me again in the future. 😛

I had the Brightmasters in my MJT build and I LOVED them. I took a leap of faith and ordered the surf Jag pickups for my shell pink build (+ the extra mod to wire them in series). Fingers crossed they sound as good as the JM pickups. There is literally 0 sound bites of the jag pickups...there is a stellar and in-depth review of them on here, though.

I’m really glad I went with these vs the hotter pickups he offered. Anything more and they’d be too hot for me. These are bright and clangy-ey without being harsh.

I’m really satisfied with them.
Totally. They really are great. Beautiful Dano as well :w00t:
