Re: Triple Bucker Telemaster
Basically I decided I am done buying Warmoth products from the company directly. I will buy stuff used online from people potentially, but I will never give them money directly again. It would probably cost them $100 in labor and material to make me a new body that was defect free, but they would rather say it is just how wood is and that since I put paint on it, I am stuck with it. If that is how they treat people who buy their stuff, I would rather give money to someone else. They have a two year warranty against defects on their bodies, but refuse to call that ring a defect. "Just build up more paint layers." I had a can of primer and two full cans of color built up and could see the ring still. It is bogus. I even sanded the back all the way to wood (which now I am having to paint back up) to show the ring was in the wood and they said it is just a wood discoloration. They saw how the "discoloration" which is a geometric circle (LIKE THAT HAPPENED NATURALLY) impacted how the body took paint and still refuse to acknowledge it is a defect from manufacturing. Oh well. Other body builders out there with more integrity and customer service. It is a shame. Considering how many things I have bought from them previously and how much I would have likely bought from them in the future, that is a shame. I was thinking of getting a contoured tele and another Jag-Stang body. Guess I will look into someone else.

On the plus side, since I sanded down through that ring, it is spraying back without it so far.

Re: Triple Bucker Telemaster
I picked up a used set of Brandonwound Firedbird pickups off of Reverb for this. Should make for an interesting sound added with a full humbucker.

Firebird pickups sound cool. The back looks much better now.

First coat of satin clear went on fine. Ring of death seems to be gone.

Pickguard came in. I have a set of Brandonwound Firebird pickups that I popped in. I think it will work great!

Re: Triple Bucker Telemaster
So is it going to be a full humbucker on the bridge and then the 2 firebird mini hbs?

Re: Triple Bucker Telemaster
Yeah. Since the pickup routing was modified, I couldn't use mounting rings for the full size buckers and warmoth telemaster guards don't have full size humbucker middle as an option. I figured two minis would look better than a full with a mini then a full.

Re: Triple Bucker Telemaster
Are you gonna try to find a bridge humbucker with a similar, flat-metal aesthetic? That would look great. This is turning out really great. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished!!
