XII Build (my first ever lefty)

This is my first ever Lefty build.
It is strange.
I'm using the Faction templates. They are excellent!
A little bit different to a real XII but I was expecting that.
The person I am building it for is fitting it with a Musikraft Hockey stick neck.

I feel exactly the same way. Every time I had to do things for a right-handed I had to keep marking things up "THIS SIDE UP!", "ROUTE ON THE BACK!", "IT'S NOT FOR LEFTIES!".
It's definitely funny to find yourself a situation when something "right" triggers the "off/this is weird" output inside your brain.

Got heaps done today.

My router blades are getting blunt.

It's mostly done.
Just a bunch more sanding to do.

I have contoured it and cut the parchment pickguard out.

It was handy having an original XII to compare the contour shape with.

It's being fitted with a Gotoh 12 string bridge, which has weird staggered string spacing.
It will have Tele style ferrules on the back.

So, you're just drilling 12 holes for single ferrules?

No, just 6. The bridge is designed in a way where there are six strings that string through the top of the bridge and the other 6 strings pass through the body.
