Custom Fender-style cabinets

Post by tdbajus » Wed Sep 11, 2019 7:48 am

I have a brown tolex Concert that is poorly installed in a brown tolex 4x10 that was made for another, slightly longer head.

I'm thinking about getting a head cabinet made as well as an appropriate 4x10 cabinet that I'll be able to use with any of my heads.

Anyone have a positive experience getting custom stuff made? I'm in brooklyn, so local would be best.

I have always wanted one of these. Keep us updated, I'd like to see (and hear!) the finished product.

This is one of the few amps I've just got to own one day.

AFter poking around a bit, I went with this guy:

https://amprestoration.com/

Who has some really beautiful stuff on his website. He's not even going to get started on it for 6 weeks, so it's going to be a while.

Looking forward to having a nice 4x10 cab I can use with my various amps/heads. Going with the oxblood cloth and the brown tolex.

From what I see on his website, he looks to do a good job. His prices are on par with what a good cabinet should cost, too. Looking forward to photos when you get it.

Good luck with the project!
I am here to second the Mather Cabs recommendation for future reference
He built me 2 beautiful small single 15 cabs, that serve me well.

All the best,
Ran
