Jazzmaster covers with windows
Does anyone have an image of a JM where the pickup covers have been cut away in the middle like a gold foil type cover but without the gold foil--just the black fiber bobbin showing through?

Funny - I had a similar plan for my coronado project (black covers with grey bobbin pups poking through), but when my pups arrived, they were wound on black bobbins because the winder ran out of flatwork. Looking forward to seeing if this gets traction - it'd be a cool look, I think

Parry, you could probably get close to the look you were after by cutting the covers out as planned and then using some thin grey material with a row of holes punched through for the pole pieces to lay under the covers.
I was toying with the idea of leather for a bit.
