Hi guys,
I have a spare set of vintage inline tuners that I bought from Callaham guitars a few years ago. https://www.callahamguitars.com/strat_n ... atalog.htm
I was thinking of putting them into my Squier VI - I do not have a problem with the original ones, I like though that the Callaham tuners are matte and not glossy. Anyway it appears to me that they do not fit - the Squier VI seem to have larger bushings. Has anyone tried swapping the tuners? Were adapter bushings required?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Squier VI - tuners replacement
The Squier bushings on mine are too small to accommodate a set of stock tuners that were on my AVRI. I thought at some point, i'd open up the holes so they'd fit AVRI bushings, but I haven't had issues with the stock tuners so that's not likely to happen for a while.

Thanks Parry! I might take one bushing out and measure it, and see if it's worth getting a set of new bushings, or maybe making the holes larger.

I replaced the stock tuners with genuine Klusons and even though the style was the same I still had to enlarge the holes slightly, probably to be expected though they weren’t going to be an exact fit.

If anyone is tempted to ream out the tuner holes with the correct size drill bit, make sure you run your drill BACKWARD to do it. A bit of a hack, but trust me you do not want the bit to grab into the wood if you're running it forward ...
