My Jaguar project
***Update*** Help me pick a neck humbucker. I want something warm and chimey but not flabby or boomy. that will match the high output bridge pickup i went with (http://bg-pups.com/humbuckers/hellabucker-bridge/) The wiring harness im getting comes with 1k pots and im currently torn between the 59 and the alnico pro 2
I'm in love with it already!
I also already chipped it trying to drop fit the neck
UPDATE: Here's what i've obtained for the build so far.
Neck: Pull from a Classic player Jaguar
Body: Guitar Mill, Aldar Jaguar, universal route for humbuckers, daphne blue, nitro finish
Bridge Pickup: Hellabucker from Bryan Gunsher in CA http://bg-pups.com/humbuckers/hellabucker-bridge/
Pickguard: Mint green, custom cut from Decoboom https://decoboom.com/collections/pickguards
Bridge: Fender Tremolo, Nashville tune-o-matic, Excenter bushings to mount the t-o-m https://www.rockinger.com/en/parts/hard ... ickel?c=69

Nice congrats. Can you let me know if you have any issues with the pickguard lining up over the lower plate with the 3 switches. I had to use a chisel and widen that route on mine. It was about 1/8” too far foward with everything else lined up and using a USA Fender pickguard.

Thanks guys, its a daphne blue with mint green guard routed for humbuckers. The guys at Guitar Mill do great work & the body is georgous, but in full transperency their communication could use a little work, the body took about 7 months instead of the quoted 16 weeks, and rarely had any communication unless i initiated the contact. In the end I do plan to do another future build.

Sadly, this seems to be WAY common with companies these days. It gets really old.punkisdead83 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 1:03 amrarely had any communication unless i initiated the contact.

Lol. Are they outsourcing from China, or what?Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 6:53 amSadly, this seems to be WAY common with companies these days. It gets really old.punkisdead83 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 1:03 amrarely had any communication unless i initiated the contact.

Re: My body Showed up from guitar mill.
I used Guitar Mill for a lightweight Jazz bass (NBD coming soon....) And I selected lightweight alder. It was supposed to be around 8 weeks and I got it in 6. It wasn't painted, just a bare body. And it was SUPER light. They seem like a good company. I am excited to use them again.
