Hi all... just ordered a couple Rosser Powercaster bodies. Putting P90 routes in both bodies -gives me a little flexibility - figured I can always do Firebirds or Foils or Filtertrons with surrounds. (I don't think humbuckers will look good on that body)
One I'm doing to do with a JM Bridge/Trem setup.
The other, I can't decide between Hipshot fixed or Tele 1/2 bridge. Don't want the two piece/regular PC setup. What would you do?

I guess it depends on the final looks and sound you're after The stainless saddles on the Hipshot will give you a crisper high frequency response, which can be a nice combo with P90s or FB pickups. The half-Tele, provided it comes with brass saddles, will be a good all-rounder. I'm partial to the latter, but they'll both work nicely and the modern looks of the Hipshot could be a good fit to the PM curves.

I went with the 1/2 Tele for the non-trem one.
Almost went with a dual Filtertron Route on one of them, but decided to go dual p90 routes instead. TV Jones has some p90 mounted versions of their various 'Tron pickups. And then I know with some of the other builders if I want to go with Foils, Firebirds or wahatever else, typically they'll do them to work with a p90s ring adapter.

That's a wise choice. P90 routes are maybe the most versatile out there, even though you can technically fit most pickups in a JM route due to its larger dimensions, it confines you to boutique options, whereas there are a whole bunch of readily available options in 90 size.
I'd add to the list rod 90s, staples, strat & tele pickups, a whole bunch of different mini-hbs, Fender XII-ish bobbins, etc. My main gigger is routed for 90s and I think I wound 20-odd different pickups for it. Have fun!
