It's gorgeous, the sonic blue totally suit and, as Shadow said, the neck plate is the tits :D

Thanks!! I ended up having to make the Mustang tremolo normal because reversed it didn't have a good break angle with the Mustang bridge.

I ended up having a real hard time with the tremolo. The spring on the low e side leg kept falling off the leg before I tuned it up so I would have to unscrew the whole trem, put the spring back on the leg, and screw it back down. I ended up using pliers to tighten the spring ends which helped it stay on the leg like it should. Then when I tuned it up to pitch, I noticed the string bar was pulled forward instead of sticking up straight from the plate....

Since the springs were obviously too wussy to handle the 11's I had on the guitar, I decided to hardtail it with bolts. My first try used washers to get the tube up to feed the strings under.

That worked fine except the low and high e strings were hitting the washers and causing the strings to go to the bridge from the bar crooked....

So I decided to flip the bar and bolt it down to the plate.

Got it strung up again and that seems to work great. I also wrapped the mustang bridge legs with electrical tape to keep it from rocking. The break angle isn't as steep, but it isn't that different from how strings angle from a Jazzy/Jag bridge so I think it will be ok.

It is a ton easier to put strings on not having to wrap it under the tube. With everything locked down, it also feels super stable tuning wise. I think it is all good now! :D

A hardtail is fine - GJ on your conversion. But curious if you'd made sure the springs were attached to the highest tension (farthest from the plate) notches in the poles? Also looks like the tailpiece could have possibly gone lower, which would decrease the string's pull on it and work to straighten it somewhat.

I'm known (in my own head) as the guy who uses 9s with Mustangs - but when I used to use 11s, they were never a problem with my vintage Mustang units.

I think it was just a gimpy plate. I try to use nonbranded ones on my custom builds and sometimes them being more affordable is for good cause. The springs wouldn't latch onto the lowest point without just falling off when I turned it right side up to mount.
