Where Can I Buy More Ameri. Pro Nylon Bushings?
Anyone know where I can buy more of these? Some may have different experiences but I actually really like them! They flex, allowing the bridge to rock, but make sure it always returns to the central position. Looking to put some on my jaguar w staytrem.

Riley is the only place I've seen the legit Fender ones aftermarket ...
https://darrenriley.com/store/fender-am ... 710508000/
Note:
"Genuine Fender American Professional Jaguar Jazzmaster bridge thimble sleeves set of 2 fits American Pro, American Vintage, and American Original models and Mexico Classic 60s models with vintage bridge. Does not fit Japan Mustang bridge. Does not fit Johnny Marr Jaguar bridge."
Specs from Riley:
Inner diameter 0.262″ 6.7mm
outer diameter 0.315″ 8.0mm
top diameter 0.516″ 13.1mm
Since they don't fit the Marr bridge, they may not fit the Staytrem ??

I'm pretty curious why they wouldn't fit an MIJ Mustang bridge; I assume it's more to do with the cups than the bridge itself? I've seen more variance in the metal cups (as far as both internal/external width/diameter,) than I've observed in the legs of bridges (where I've both seen long/short legs, but not anything that would appear to inhibit these sliding on a US vs. MIJ bridge.)
King Buzzo: I love when people come up to me and say “Your guitar sound was better on Stoner Witch, when you used a Les Paul. “...I used a Fender Mustang reissue on that, dumbass!

You would think that the ways in which they wouldn't fit would be (1) if the bridge posts have an OD that is greater than the ID of the nylon bushings (6.7mm), or (2) the thimbles have an ID that is greater than the OD of the bushings (8mm). Remembering that Riley's measurements sometimes have a little wiggle room. But if you measure a bridge you have and it does not match (1) or (2), it should probably be OK with the bushings. But I included the Staytrem pic because the shoulder at the top of the posts may limit how low the bridge can go with the bushings in place ?Danley wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 6:40 amI'm pretty curious why they wouldn't fit an MIJ Mustang bridge; I assume it's more to do with the cups than the bridge itself? I buy them at the Ace True Value hardware store. Take your bridge, and your guitar body, or the whole thing in, and look at the nylon bushings. They are .49 cents each.

I found a source for these bushings, now I have 100 bushings. Is anyone interested? PM me as I have plenty to spare.
I think I can share images with this link. https://photos.app.goo.gl/7RyB8bJpLNBSX75Z7
My VM Jag had two different sized thimbles, but was able to prevent excess rocking, shifting, moving and help center the bridge. The VM Jag thimbles are Slightly larger then the Standard American thimble, fit snug in American thimbles.
Tested on stock jag bridge, Aftermarket Mustang style bridge and Modified Jag/Jazz bridge (single groove, height adjustable). All bridges fit and had a small amount of rocking when using whammy bar.
I wouldn't say this locks the bridge in place but it does limit rocking travel distance.

Re: Where Can I Buy More Ameri. Pro Nylon Bushings?
glad I saw this. I'm about to try pulling them outta my American Pro JM to fit Mastery thimbles into the guitar since the Mastery doesn't fit in (as they warned on the Mastery website).
I'm fitting the Mastery cos the factory bridge is annoyingly wide (55mm) and the strings are too close to the edge of the fretboard for my liking. Plus I always knock the low-E out of it's saddle with the heel of my palm ....
a mate reminded me that I should have a backup plan if (when) I mess up the ones I when removing them....
I tried the dowel method for removing the originals from the guitar but couldn't get that to work.
how have you removed them ?

6mm expansion bolt (eyelet end is not necessary but nice if you can find it; a regular nut on the end is fine though) ... wrapping the expanding end with a little tape may improve grip if necessary to remove thimbles and/or bushings ...whitewatersky wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 11:11 pmglad I saw this. BTW the later generation of the Am Pro (I's) have the same Mustang-style bridge but with narrower 52mm E-E spacing (9.5" radius), which can be bought from several sources, eg
