Modified break angle on Mustang

Hi guys. I'm gonna get a tremolo plate made for my Mustang with hardtail conversion holes (like this). What I'm wondering is, if you could place those holes closer to the bridge for a steeper break angle, would you? Why or why not? How far forward would you go? Is there any reason not to do it besides that the strings might contact the back of the bridge plate? And on that note, couldn't one just file down the bridge plate to make room for the strings?

Fender’s Player and vintera modified Jazzmasters have the vibrato closer to the bridge. Thus increasing break angle.

Some players install a buzz stop on the vibrato to increase the break angle.

You can do it.

Increasing the break angle makes single note picking more articulate, but strumming less alive due to the reduced overtones and harmonics.

You can also shim the neck for a subtle break angle increase.
