It has the stock EMG pickups Jim Root used to use before he designed his own set for his white version two Jazzmaster. They sound really good. I know some people think actives sound generic or sterile, but these don't. They are great clean or with gain.

I am still giddy that he commented on my post. I know it isn't a huge thing, but to me it is. I am a big Jim Root fan so having a nod from him was a really big thing to me.

I just noticed he commented. Very cool. I once got a message back from Nick from Slowdive which made me elated.
