That’s a fantastic colour.Tweedledee wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 12:52 pmJust finished putting together this one, which I did in an old Honda color, Hampsted Green Metallic. Those aren't the final knobs, and this one is screaming out to me to put some goldfoils in there, but it works for now.

Thanks! It can vary a lot depending on the lighting, going from almost gray in low light to more of a green in sunlight. Sometimes it looks a bit like Ice Blue Metallic after the clearcoat has yellowed.tequila_in_teacups wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 2:02 pmThat’s a fantastic colour.Tweedledee wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 12:52 pmJust finished putting together this one, which I did in an old Honda color, Hampsted Green Metallic. Just traded with forum member HNB for this lovely 1964/66 Jaguar in what he calls Volkswagen Green! It was painted by a guy named Will who’s also a forum member here but I’m not sure what his username is. Either way it’s a lovely shade of green!

If you had said it was Forrest Green I would be none the wiser..
Check these that were painted with random green/blue metallics lying around local car body shop.. Ive since been complemented on getting such authentic looking fender colours?
I dont find this suprising.. since ive been on OSG ive noticed such variation in shades of the same colour.

Wow yeah those are all great shades! Yes there seems to be lots of variation within the blue and greens Fender has used, especially when including Fender Japan lolNudger wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 2:07 amIt sure is!marginwalker wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 11:27 pm

Here’s another shot of the Jaguar next to my AVRI JM! It really just depends on the light but right now the color of the Jaguar in person kinda looks like this: Shenandoah Green

I have that same year/color but haven’t had the greening as I let it had a long period of being in its case. It’s a great guitar and I’ve only encountered a couple and I’ve rarely seen them on Reverb (other than the Clapton ones with maple fretboard).

I collected those parts! Traded them to HNB who promptly assembled it in a matter of days after they languished in my closet for...4 years? Maybe 5?marginwalker wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 11:27 pmJust traded with forum member HNB for this lovely 1964/66 Jaguar in what he calls Volkswagen Green! I remembered Will calling it Sherwood, but Chris informed me that it was not (and I felt really guilty for accidentally misrepresenting it).
I'm really happy to see it stay in the OSG family. It's made its way through four of us now! Wish I got to play it, it sure it sharp. I just went through a few years where I had way too many projects and not enough time or energy.

Re: Show me the Green
Sadly it’s no longer in the OSG family I sold it a few weeks back due to a backbow that was unfixable, according to my guitar tech. Those 64 pickups were magical though, some of the best jag pickups I’ve ever heard!Embenny wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 10:00 amI collected those parts!
