Was that the one with the really sketchy-looking black refin?

The vintage and AVRI bodies/guards have similar screw hole placement .. if you put a CIJ guard on a vintage/AVRI body then a couple of the screw holes will likely be out of place, but IIRC the holes for bridge/pickup/neck pocket placement should all be okay (Jonas has vintage guards on a couple of his JMs with CIJ bodies). I find there's a lot of small variations in vintage bodies anyway.

Personally I think that vintage bodies and necks should be kept together if possible .. I don't see that a vintage body would contribute much more to an otherwise modern guitar than a good aftermarket body, but that's just my opinion.

yay i just got my body today its pretty nice  no bad dents or cracks
it was refinished *as i thought*
the finish looks like spay paint and is very checked
but oh well
im gonna strip it this summer and give it the purple sparkle finish it deserves!
oh ps yah the screws dont line up
so im gonna get a scotchs guard for it
i might sell my inodized pick or put it on another jazz
