Not to encourage anyone - but I thought late Jagmaster 24” necks are conversion from 25.5” ?

Has anyone successfully modded a Jagmaster with a 22.75" aka. 3/4 size neck?

I've always wanted to that. Either add jaguar control plates to a jazzmaster or add jazzmaster pickups to a jaguar.

Re: Shortscale Jazzmaster?
I bet GuitarForm could do it. They made my full scale Jaguar body. Might ask them?

Wow!theworkoffire wrote: ↑Wed Oct 29, 2008 6:50 amIf you tune a Jazzmaster down half a step and put a capo on the first fret you get the Jaguar string tension and scale length, so it's easy to check that much...

Re: Shortscale Jazzmaster?
Probably already been said, but it’s definitely easier to make a short scale jazzmaster than a long scale jag. Without going total custom. Easiest to get a jag body and make the appropriate adjustments (keep in mind the longer upper cutaway horn on the jag body vs jazzmaster) and then just cut a custom guard or essentially a shortened jm guard (the bridge holes and bridge pickup would move approximately 3/4” towards the neck joint). Easier yet would be just get an existing jag and modify the pickup and pickguard routes for JM pickups. On second thought, doesnt Novak make JM pickups that fit the jag routes? Then you’d just need to cut the guard to fit.
