Aftermarket Gold Plating of parts? Anyone? Anyone...?
Anybody here had stock Jag/JM parts gold-plated? Any thoughts on this?
I looked into getting this done YEARS ago, and ended up selling the guitar and parts I was going to use before pulling the trigger. Basically, looking for ideas, as I'm pretty much giving up on finding a Gold-plated Jag/JM trem unit/bridge/arm!
Thanks, gang!

Oh brother of mine, why do you not call? I have many answers.

I think this might be my favourite post here ever .. it's like an old gospel lyric or a sentence from a Nick Cave novel or something.serial wrote: Oh brother of mine, why do you not call? I have many answers.

Very lyrical.
Here's another possible answer, though I don't know if they can ship overseas. I don't imagine this stuff is very good for you.

I've heard the rumours, but I don't believe them.

gold plating wears off but i'm sure you've been told that already...
if you were to have a small batch done i'd imagine it'd cost a lot more than it's worth. plus most places probably have a minimum quantity.
i would hang around with hot rodders and ask them because they tend to chrome things
