Les Paul Deluxe question

  I have an Agile Les Paul copy with P-90s and I had the bright idea of installing mini-humbuckers with the P-90 shaped rings.  But, like most of my projects, it turns out to be more involved than I anticipated.  I thought I knew how the pickups were supposed to be held in there, but when I actually tried to install them, it turned out not to be the case.  I've looked all over the interweb for a picture or a diagram (or explanation) of how they're supposed to go in there, but can find nothing.  Any help anyone can give me in this area would be greatly appreciated!

  Wow, thanks, Luau!  That answers that question.  Now I just have to figure out what those things are called and where I can get some.

Sure thing berlinbetty. Good question on what they are called. "Mini HB mounting bracket/bar" or some such I'd guess. If you can't find them and want to fabricate some, let me know. I've got a Deluxe and I can pull one and take measurements. I can't imagine it would take much to hack a couple out of aluminum.
