Fantastic work, Ben, really well done. I think you've single-handedly raised the bar for all of us making custom guitars here.

Such amazing build(s) Ben!!!
As Paul said, the bar is on a different level now. The rest of us need to step up!
Truly inspirational!

Couldn't keep him away from it when I was taking the photos...
Thanks again for all your help with the templates for this one, Michael. I couldn't possibly have got here without your help. And thanks for the help with the trem plate, Paul. Much, much appreciated.

Congrats on that, that's a good little writeup. Praise from someone (outside of OSG) who actually gets what you were trying to do.theworkoffire wrote:http://guitarz.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/m ... -sg-2.html
Would love to hear some soundclips at some time if at all possible. The P90 Jags in series must sound great, I have a pair of Lollar P90s with series switching, and no muddiness there either, just fat/full/clear.

One last photo - just as I was running out the door with it I realised I'd forgoten to do any side-by-sides with my SG-5. You can just about see all the hardware differences/similarities. Weirdly, the dot markers on mine look bigger; they're the same 5mm, just a little less figured. And I drew the line at bending the trem arm to match (=forgot!!).

Ben ... what can I say ? ...
maybe something like ... I am not an artist but it doesn't stop me truly appreciating fine art....
remember mate ... anything you want to write up for the library if fine by me
AFWIW ... you look younger than I thought you'd look
(assuming that was not a stunt double in the pic)

relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

Beautiful build
Very inspirational!
I will try a similar way to shape the neck on my upcoming build.

Very nice finish to my favorite project on this forum. I'm especially digging the 3D printed jag pickup covers to resemble the Yamaha pickup cosmetically and the tremolo plate from Stereordinary that uses the jag trem guts. Nice McGyvering and the outcome looks really sharp. As always, would love to hear a few clips on youtube, soundcloud or wherever.
