Fantastiskt vacker färg i mitt tycke. A white B&B neck would make it perfect.

I am 100% for it! It is unique. I wanted to bid on a green sparkle Duo-Sonic body on ebay the other day because I thought it'd be different. I do think you should keep it. I also agree that a painted headstock wouldn't look right. I also don't think painted headstocks look good with maple fretboards...but that's off topic.

This is almost exactly what I want to do to the body I bought from Doug!!!
What kind of neck will it have?

That looks really nice Jonas - it's a bit unusual, but I like it

Re: interesting twist on my refin... advice needed
thanks for all the support guys
the neck i've had on this guitar is a 22 fret 12" radius allparts strat neck, but i'm planning on replacing it with a vintage radius one with a CBS headstock that i will reshape to the correct jazzmaster shape.
this is what it looked like before i started refinishing:

Is the vintage radius for historic correctness or do you feel it's easier to play for some reason?
On flat fretboards I always feel the strings are slipping away under my fingertips...

it's both actually. although the neck is great and plays wonderfully i prefer rounder fretboards for comfort reasons. and it has medium jumbo frets so it just feels a bit wrong somehow.

I totally agree on the fret size. Not that everything HAS to be according to vintage specs for me, but somehow it mostly feels much better.
Maybe it just depends on what you're used to. Or that one is getting closer and closer to vintage, oneself.

Sweet, man. unique and slightly off from true vintage can be very nice.

Re: interesting twist on my refin... advice needed
i noticed something very interesting today; in daylight it doesn't look green at all. the greenness seems to come out most in the lights in my kitchen. i took it into the bathroom to compare and it does look a tiny bit green, but not as much as under the kitchen fan. weird...

Flourescent lights are typically blue/green in color compare to sunlight (white) and incandescent light which is yellow. Lighting can have a big impact on how the paint looks.mynameisjonas wrote: i noticed something very interesting today; in daylight it doesn't look green at all. the greenness seems to come out most in the lights in my kitchen. i took it into the bathroom to compare and it does look a tiny bit green, but not as much as under the kitchen fan. weird...
