the 1/4lb are pretty stout, think Jag pup meets p-90 the others I donno.
It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

I'll shift this to the Mods/Projects section, might get a little more action there.
I've never used SD Jag pups .. but you might find some useful info here:

I think there are sound samples on Seymour Duncan's site as well.

Re: SJAG-1 vintage for jaguar or SJAG-3 quarter-pound??
i don't think i would describe the QPs as 'clean and warm'... more like 'hot and punchy'. they have quite a lot more output than the SJAG-1s, and a lot more emphasis on the upper midrange. so if it's clean you want, maybe SJAG-1 are a better choice. a former bandmate of mine swapped the pickups in his CIJ jag for SJAG-1s, and it really came alive. it was a huge improvement.

Clean and warm?
Change the capacitor on the tone knob to .033uF or .047uF and take out the resistor from it and you'll have clean and warm.
Use the jazzmaster schematic but with the above values.
This would be even nicer with the sjag3's like already said.
I have a sjag3 in my mustang with a .05uF cap, sounds great.had in my jag and sounded great there too.
Just the caps will get you closer to warm than just sjag3's.
