Hmmm...pretty good looking guard. It appears to have some depth to it, and in areas there's just the yellow, like on some of the vintage guards. I wonder who they get their material from?
Nice tele, by the way!

Thanks, it's just an MIM Standard with Am. Std. neck PU, and TX special bridge...

Warmoth tort looks about the same as the AVRI stuff to me.
It's darker than my AVRI, and it doesn't have as much "figuring."
Damn kids, get off my lawn!

It looks much better than my CIJ tort
But is it really that hard to make a "vintage" looking tort.
For exemple. Take a look at these Celluloid tort picks.
Look much better than repro guards, even the knife got vinage lookin tort
I think they should make tort pickguards with the same material as they make picks

I don't know why, but it just struck me as a bit odd that many of us (me included!) lust after vintage tort with just the right amount of texture/figuring/swirl, and we'll all just barf at a body or neck with figured woods (quilt or flame maple).
Just an observation.
Back on topic, really, just how hard would it be to make a vintage correct tort?
