How much cloth wire...
...is needed to wire up a Jazzmaster with two standard Jazzmaster pickups, to a standard 3-way toggle switch, volume and tone pots?
(the guitar doesn't feature a rhythm circuit)

Re: How much cloth wire...
Is the wire included in the PU's? If so you wouldn't need more than a feet I guess....
I found vintage correct wire at this site (even the orange (JAG) and green (JM and JAG(?)) ones that I used to have a problem in finding. Both stranded and solid.

It's an Vintage radio restoration site, but the wires are the same as in guitars.

Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Hey Yannis, don't bother with buying it on eBay (it's super expensive).
I bought 25ft of vintage cloth wire (more that I'll ever need ) and received it today.
I can send you some (for free).
Priority postage to england costs almost nothing and it would take 2 days to reach you. I'll not be able to post it before friday but if shipping takes 2 days it will be at your home next monday or tuesday.
Just tell me how much you need.
The wiring will be like this:
So I guess you will have more than enough with 2 feet, (but I can send you more in case you want to put a SHO or a boost inside)
btw, The wire I bought is an Allpart. This is it : http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Cloth-Cover ... dZViewItem

A jaguar takes EIGHT feet of wire so figure from there.
if you have no wire to the rhythm circuit at all then two feet will do it.

Same wiring as I just did, 2ft was plenty. For some unknown reason I bought about 20ft of various colours from Angela.com.
I am sure you are not as stupid as me but take care not to drip solder and burn the body!
