Hi Sneaky! Thanks a lot. .I wished it was you giving the answer. . ;)
I did some research. .it seems the Avri is the best choice at a reasonable higher price ..but..will I need a new arm too..or the original squier will fit?
Thanks again

You'll need a new arm.

File under "I Am An Idiot" but I decided to change out a Squier Bass VI trem (i.e. vibrato) and a Mascis Squier trem and ordered AVRI tremolos + the new bars from John at Staytrem.

Most of you would know -- order based on the AVRI trem not the actual guitar. But I didn't.

John, gracious as he always is, is sending me the appropriate collets and trusting me to send the ones that don't fit.

The Staytrem bar is a great upgrade and worth the $$$. But it matches to the trem itself, so if you replace the crappy Squier trem with an AVRI, the Staytrem bar you want is the one that goes with the AVRI.

Again, probably only for me, I'm dumb, etc. But maybe someone else is dumb like me.
