Does anyone here with a vintage Bass VI remember whether there is an earth lead from the main control cavity (brass) through to the trem cavity , which then is sandwiched between the trem plate and the wood (to connect electrically with the trem) ?
this is what happens with a Jaguar and the Bass VI is similar to a Jaguar from a wiring point of view.
When I looked at (what appears to be) a Fender wiring diagram for the Bass VI it doesn't show this earth connection and I don't have any Bass VI porn showing inside the main control route to confirm it either way.

Re: question about Bass VI wiring
No I don't believe it does. I gabe run a copper wire from the control cavity to the rhimbles and then under the trem plate, seem to work OK.
