yeak that's what I did.. and the holes will not need redrilling (it's amazingly deeper than the stock posts !  :o )

I'm working on it right now.. I just had to make a little break cuz I larger the hole with a file installed on the dremel and I couldn't feel my hand after a while because of the vibration !  :D
It's quite long to do even with the dremel... I go back now..  :)

yeah the holes for the thimbles are deeper than what's needed for the TOM bushings, and the bushings are bottomless, so if the bridge posts were long enough (which they aren't) you would be able to screw them down an extra 3-4 mm.

i don't know why i'm posting this, it's completely useless info... ???

The work is on the good way but not finish yet!

I can only put half of the posts in... but now that I found the right dremel tool, I'll be able to finish it tomorrow .

I've started to file the saddles but I'm afrais to do it too much.. are the strings supposed to "sit on" the grooves or
should I file them deeper ?

i filed mine deeper, so the top of the string is more or less flush with the edge of the saddle. less risk of knocking them out of position that way...

Ok,
I'm mounting the strings right now, I'll se how it is and file if necessary (and it will probably be necessary).

I don't think I'll file as much as you did for my low string: it's a .56 gauge so it's very big.
