Bad white balance... lol. The pics of the neck are accurate, the head stock photo color are not. It's still a fairly white maple with some amber color from the lacquer. But that's it.

With a little tweaking... This is probably more accurate. Still not exact.

No new pics (I really should have took some) but I've made some massive steps to getting this things finished over the past week or so. Here's everything I've done just so by the time I post again it won't seem like I've left a gap:

repolished the body, this time with a buffing wheel
Drilled out the neck screw holes in the body
attached the neck and body
drilled pickup screw holes
installed copper plates to pickup and control cavity and ran ground wires
remade the control plate to allow for a jazz style switch since I didn't route the cavity deep enough for a tele switch
crafted a bridge shim out of maple and painted it black
drilled and screwed down control plate
installed strap buttons
shaped a bone nut, not installed yet. (shaped it on my bench grinder which made my work shop smell like burnt hair for a few days)

I think that's about it.
I finally finish building a guitar, go to play it, and then remember, "oh yeah, that's right. I suck at playing... Why did I build another guitar again?"

Not the best picture, but I also ran the pickup leads and attached the pickups.

I still need to:

Wire it up
install the bridge and riser
install tuners and bushings
slot and install the nut
install jack and socket
set-up

...Si if I could get a solid evenings worth or two of time in this thing I might be able to get it playable. probably not perfect, but with strings on it and the ability to have it make sounds.

It wasn;t super bright in my house so I had to do the best I could with my iphone camera and editing abilities. So, not great, but you get the idea.

My wife insisted last night that I work on my guitar... I started at about 9 pm. So not a lot got done, but I got the tuners and bushings in/on. I also started on the wiring, but it got to 11:30pm before it was finished and I was pooped, so I went to bed. If I wired everything up correctly last night, all that should be left is the jack. So if wiring is right, once I get the jack on, all I'll have after that is the nut and set up.

I recorded a quick and dirty sound demo on my phone. Final pics will come in tomorrow after I get the pictures off my camera. So far I love this thing. It still needs tweaking though. Once it's just where I want it I may do a second demo since it's easy for me to do. Thanks.

It's all done. I haven't put a battery on the effect yet to be sure it works like it should. But everything else does. As some point I will need to go in and swap the hot leads on the pickup selector as I wired up to be the bridge and down to be the neck, which is wrong to me. Otherwise I'm all done.

Wow, I like that a lot, it looks great! The only thing that could improve it for me would be a matching head and rosewood fretboard. Looks ace

Thanks. When you say matching head do you mean paper on the head stock too? hum.... That's a neat idea that never occurred to me... Although I never have a lot of faith that any nice necks will stay a project so I try to do nothing fairly permanent in case I need to re purpose it for something else. I like the idea though.

Great job!

I'll echo the matching headstock and rosewood neck comment. Would be super cool to see the same paper and treatment on the headstock. No need to worry about a logo either, since the floral pattern would continue the aesthetic nicely. Come to think of it, an Ebony board might be even cooler since they're so much darker.

Either way, this is a really cool project. Very well done!
