I tried a piezo under the springs of my strat years ago... You can make some interesting noises with the springs but I pesonally didn't find any of it useful.

.
I have put a piezo pickup under a Tele bridge plate before. Works fine. Needs a pre-amp just like in an acoustic guitar.

It would probably be pretty straight forward to mount one onto a rear plate, if you wanted to experiment with it before committing to anything more permanent.

yes, but who the heck leaves the back plate on their strat? probably cops!
that's kind of what i thought about behind-the-bridge pickups on offsets but a decent number of people seem to find a use for that!

I'm sure it could be useful for someone more inspired than myself Just my 2 cents as they say.MechaBulletBill wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 2:50 pmyes, but who the heck leaves the back plate on their strat? probably cops!that's kind of what i thought about behind-the-bridge pickups on offsets but a decent number of people seem to find a use for that!
