An early 90s open book headstock Epiphone SG (Fujigen Gakki) and an early 80s Fernandes Mustang. Wish I've kept them.

This one started as a Yasuki (1.000.000 Internetz for someone who can come up with info on THAT brand) LP Custom/Standard (custom body, standard neck bound headstock). I've rebuilt it to a "Poor Black"...

Image

It's a very decent guitar: solid mahogany, no chambers, solid maple top, set-neck (long tennon), Open-book headstock,...

I used to have these two Hoshinos (badged as Diplomat for NZ). The SG is probably the only guitar I've ever regretted selling, it played/ felt/ sounded great. I got it as a basketcase, refretted it, added the Schaller bridge, Grovers, and Tonerider bridge pickup, moved the string tension roller bar down closer to the body, and fixed whatever else needed fixing. The LP was ok, I did lots of work on it too, but nothing special. I still have a 70s Hohner LP Custom, all the LP I'll ever need, and for $280. It's even had a headstock break, just like a real Gibson. ;)

I won this Ibanez "Lawsuit" Black Beauty on ebay this week.

Here is a 1968 Gibson for comparison

Here is Gibson's letter to their dealers announcing the lawsuit against Ibanez

i have had quite a few 'lawsuit' guitars over the years. strats, mustangs, and teles and les pauls of all types by the big names such as greco, tokai, teisco, guyatone, yamaki, fernandes, yamaha, as well as the b listers (tomson, westminster, fresher, etc. this greco sg special was especially cool.
(sorry for the strange angles of the pics. )
