No they are their own thing. Italian made, all hardware is theirs. Super weird instruments. It has a liquid mercury inside a glass when you turn the guitar horizontally the sound switches off. (AKA Kill Switch) I don't have a lot of info on them and less on the pickups. Except that they become microphonic with time....

I know its crazy! Check out the circuit design. You can see the mercury switch. It also has a germanium based transistor Pre-amp? How whacky is that on a 60s guitar.
