NGD Gibson LP Custom -77
So, I wasn't really gonna buy another guitar for a while.
But then this one showed up locally and I just couldnt resist the 70's cool.
It started Life Wine red, back and sides still seem original.
The guy I bought it from got it in 1982 and played it until the late 80's.
He then stripped the top and neck and put it away.
In 1997 he finally got to refinishing it, Luckily he used a really good shop in Stockholm to do the work.
The inspiration was obviously Ace Frehleys Budokan guitar.
For some reason the owner then put it away again and didn't play it much.
Earlier this week he put it up for sale on another forum.
When I realized he was local I made an offer and got it for a reasonable price.
I love it, frets are low but it plays like butter.
Bridge and neck pickups are 57 classics but the middle seems an original T-Top.
Sounds great, this is a tone beast.
Gonna get some black plastics and gold covers for the pickups to get even more 70's feel.
Man I'm really happy about getting this guitar.

That’s amazing.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Awesome find! It's almost a little jarring to see a Custom in cherry burst. How are you getting along with the switching? It's always been something that turned me off of three pickup Gibsons.

Grattis! I saw it for sale on Ljudbojen and it seemed like a great deal even with the re-finish. Do ignore everyone calling for white pickups, I think black plastics and gold covers will look terrific on this one

Thanks,
Yeah, i'm not Ace Frehley so I'll just make it my own.
Fick den rätt mycket billigare än priset i annonsen så jag kunde inte låta bli.

Yeah the wiring is not optimal I guess.
Looking into something like this https://920dcustom.com/products/gibson- ... hcraft-new
But I don't know, it works as it is. For now anyways.

I think Frank Zappa had a very similar looking LPC at one point.
Good score.
