NGD Silvertone Mongrel
So I saw this tricked out Silvertone U1 on Reverb and couldn't help myself.
Don't know the year but early sixties maybe?
It's been heavily modified obviously.
It has a rollerbridge/mute that I've never seen before.
Some type of slide guitar pickup and what seems to be a Silvertone vibrato.
Also a six way varitone and a slide holder.

holy crap, it's got the hardware!
i wonder who it belonged to. Any time i see something that's more function than form, i assume it was on the road...

I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.

The action is a Little high but I'll fix that. Sounds really cool though.

Wow. There’s a lot going on there.
I’m also curious about the sound.

Re: NGD Silvertone Mongrel
It actually sounds pretty normal, it's still got that hollow Danelectro sound. The varitone does makes it quite versatile.
Can't really palm mute because of the slide pickup, so that makes you play a bit differently.
Don't really have any way to record or upload at the moment but it may appear on a song or two in the future.
