The First Act Custom Shop creates some pretty nice looking guitars, but very expensive.

I followed the link back to their site and noticed that they had a version of the dressing room too  :)
It's not nearly as cool as jonas' creation though  :P

I was playing with the custom creator... not enough options really plus most of their guitars look like balls to me...  especially with the way they make the pickups look.  But I love this one.  I wouldn't change a thing.

Well it's a custome shop guitar. It's the guitar the guy fron NIN uses...so blame him?

I'm surprised how far First Act has come in the past few years.  When I found out about them, everything they made was a cheap plywood Strat, Tele, or Les Paul style something with the same generic single coils and humbuckers everyone else of the pawn shop brigade uses, usually founds at Wal-Mart, by the telescopes and other hobbyist kits.  I'm still coming to grips with the fact they now make $2,000 guitars, I don't think I ever recall Harmony, Danelectro, or Hondo ever having a custom shop.  Hondo did try to go this way once though, making a signature model for the guitar player in Loverboy, but that only lasted a year, probably because they changed a TON of things about the design without telling the designer about it.

All in all, I checked out the custom creator, had a hard time coming up with new stuff, they need more of a body selection, MUCH more of one, and better headstocks too.  I'm glad to see I'm not alone on the pickups either, they look like wannabe Filter-Trons (hmm, mebbe that explains the Gretsch style body they set you up with first off, I'm, thinking Malcom Young from AC DC on that one. See the first one below.  And yeah, I like Jonas designer better, the darned thing does not whine about being "unfinished" if I forget to select NONE for the middle pickup.
