Yeah, she also didn't have any arms, either. Kind of a whirlwind sort of thing.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

I almost did. I used to own a Martin 00-17s, and I liked it pretty well, but Martin is a little sloppy with putting the necks on these days and this one had the neck at such a shallow angle that I lowered the saddle as much as I could and still could not get the action where I wanted it. To get it where I wanted it would have required a neck reset, and it was a brand new guitar.

But, I almost bought another one.

Here's a hint: this incoming guitar will make that moot.

Guild F-20.
Very close. I saw a man selling an F-30, and I talked to him about buying that one. It was one of the ones made in New Hartford, like my Guild D-40 was, and I am thinking that must be some kind of high point in Guild manufacture because it's just an amazing guitar and they were really trying to compete on quality at that point. And I am prepared to believe that Guild is just excellent across the board at this point.

But I didn't end up making that move, either. Although I would have been very happy with that.

Quite obviously this:

It's not a Fender.

A mid-sized Epiphone acoustic?
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

A casino? Or is it an acoustic? I know you're all about acoustics these days, I guess because you have more patience than I do for losing picks in the hole.

Maybe casinos got unsensitive guyed because of Oasis, what do I know? I'm just glad I get to play, people typically figure out Larry's new guitar within about 3 guesses.
This is an excellent rectangle

It might be easier to lose picks in this particular guitar.

I'm surprised no one has guessed either. I think maybe Mike isn't guessing it immediately like he usually does because I insulted him in the first post.

But no, I have an ES-330, and that'll cover my Casino needs.

Is it one of those John Lennon type deals, with the pickup up at the neck? That's pretty sensitive guy and will eat picks.

Ah, the J-160e!

Funny, though, the ones that the Beatles used back in the day were kind of crummy instruments, they were laminate woods and ladder braced, so you would think they didn't sound all that good necessarily but if that's what he played on "I'm Only Sleeping" then it sounds about as good as an acoustic can.

The modern reproduction that you see above looks more like a J-45 with a pickup in there to me... and that pickup is the much-unloved P-100, so it certainly was not what John Lennon would have had in his guitar.

I thought these J-45s with Firebird pickups looked a little more interesting to me, on paper, at least. Weird guitars.

But, no... while this is a guitar that would be a danger to picks more so than other guitars, it's not something that one would usually associate with plectrum playing and I'm wondering how good it will be for that.

I feel like if I bought a gypsy jazz guitar then someone would be like, "Dude, haven't you lived in St. Louis your whole life? Not exactly very gypsy, are you, Larry? But, whatever, Django... I guess let's hear some 'jazz' music."

And that would be pretty devastating to know I was that kind of douche bag.

The blue one looks like it went through soe Firebird X-ish design process. I don't think about myself a traditionalist in guitars, but a blueburst acoustic with a Firebird pickup at the end of the fingerboard looks all kind of weird. why not in a soundhole mount ? or a cool fingeboard mount like a proper jazz guitar ? this is all kinds of wrong.

I won't judge you on that, I live on the French/German border and now I play in a New Orleans-style jazz band. With a german-made guitar, at least.

Is your future guitar some kind of metal-bodied resonator thing ? I guess this could chew through picks.
