NGD: 2014 Les Paul Studio
This appeared on CList and I couldn’t resist.
Unbelievably crusty
I spent a little time scraping
I’m not really a double humbucker guy, but I think I’ll dig it.

Jeez, they really packed 60 years of aging into 6 years huh? That looks more authentic than any relic I've ever seen and it's only 6 years old!

Yeah, I really doesn’t mind the wear, I have a high tolerance for imperfection.
Next is a fret dress and setup. I never got the rock thing but I’m anxious to try my latest twisted earbug on it.
Santo and Johnny Coltrane or some Sun Ra because you know space is the place.

Great job! That seems like a wonderful guitar now, especially at that price.
So how do you age & filth up a guitar like that in only 6 years? Work on cars for a few hours and then immediately play the hell out of the guitar every day?!? Amazing.

Was there a fire in the proximity?
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

That would be an acceptable cause.
Looked more like grime buildup, but that is a possibility.

It was pretty funny, I said as long as it wasn’t broken I would take it. The amount of crud on the fretboard was shocking. I love the sunburst, I think it’s honey burst, it has the chambered body and plays and sounds great. At least I don’t have to worry about loaning it out! I really like the vibe in this place, happy to have stumbled across it, Chris.

You must have made somebody with an aversion to baths very happy with your offer.
You should send them an “after” pic!
Do you plan on refinishing it, or rather, redoing the cellulose or whatever finish to protect it?

The finish is mostly there in a Willie Nelson/Neil Young/overzealous teenager kind of way, except between the pickups.
I have a project in the basement and another painted body on the way. Some folks on here may appreciate it, the sunburst is based on some 1930’s art pottery pieces from New Jersey’s Stangl Pottery. I’ll start a build thread on it.

Re: NGD: 2014 Les Paul Studio
I generally disapprove of Studios (probably something to do with my attitude when they were first produced), but I really like that one. Not sure why.
