The fact that this DIDN’T exist outside of the Gibson Custom Shop several years ago is what caused me to have my own Special-esque guitar built by a luthier. If this had been around back then, Gibson would have had my money for sure!

I had a double cut in the late 90s. It had the non period correct Nashville bridge and stop tail combo.
I've had a couple of the cheapo single cut Epi versions as well over the years.

Dean DeLeo of STP/Talk Show used LP Specials a lot back in the day.

Very nice.... I picked up special about a year ago when DV247 blew them out before Gibson released the TV yellow.... my first Gibson and I love it.

Gorgeous. I had one and miss it. I found out a old friend who worked as a bar tender had broken both his arms. There was a fund raising benefit for him and I donated this guitar. It was the nicest item there. My friend wasn’t there. A while later I called to check on him and he wouldn’t take my call... never returned any email I sent. Just ghosted me. So, yeah fuck that guy. Regret donating it.

Hard to beat the TV yellow and black plastics!

Such a great looking guitar; I used to obsess over the double cut version from the mid-late 90s.

Wanted to join the dogpile here as well. I've had an early 2000s LP Special Faded Doublecut for a year or two now and it's really lovely. I have a pair of noiseless Fralins in it and it's a great little rock guitar. Definitely prefer how it hangs on the body over an SG.

That's a super clean guitar, I appreciate how you can see the grain when you're close enough to it. Grats on the NGD!

I'm waiting on a LP JR in TV Yellow.It's got a black pickguard.Any ideas what color besides black looks good on TV Yellow?Pics when I get it.

Honestly, I think black plastics on the yellow are hard to beat. I love to mod and personalize (ugh!) guitars but I would leave TV yellow alone.

@OP, super nice, I'm a bit late to the part, but HNGD!
