NGD - Fender Parallel Universe II Jazz Strat...a.k.a., Alien Love Child of Forbidden Love

So...got this in a trade for my Fender AV '52 Roasted Ash Tele. Totally worth it! I can't stop playing this beauty.

Funny enough, I've had 2 Fender AV '65 Jazzmasters and I always felt the pickups were a bit too mid-rangey/harsh. The Pure Vintage '65 JM pickups on the Jazz Strat sound outstanding.

It's different, it's cool looking, it's sure to annoy purists - what's not to like?!?

Oh, in case anyone asks - yup, I got the spiffy surf green hardshell Fender case that comes with it.

Honestly, that thing is cooler than a regular strat if you ask me. Far more reasonable a mashup than that jag-strat thing!

Binding and blocks with matching headstock is always a plus in my books.

Yup, it’s a Decoboom pickguard that is stock with the guitar.

Oh wow, that matching case is gorgeous!! It's obviously a minor detail in the grand scheme of things, but it really sets things off.

I want the sonic blue case. I'm sure I have a guitar or two that could use it.

The one they call "surf green" is clearly a seafoam green while my Jazz Strat case is more surf green.

If I'm completely honest, though, I don't play out like I used to, so all of my cases are stored in my mudroom, lol.

It looks better than the Telecaster version they did, that guitar gives me the dry boak.
