Fender Will Ray
This is a rare custom shop guitar, that bares a lot of resemblance to a Jazzmaster, don't you think? I kinda like the the JM/Tele vibe. Although I think an Offset tele body is in order and perhaps the removal of the Hellecaster's Inlay.

Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

Does the Mozak need a thread here? It's an offset.

What's that chunk of metal on the back for? Is it like a spring loaded thing to whack the body? Agree with you on the finish aen it's ugly as.

That's the tremolo, to add a bit more of the Jazzmaster to it..... apparentlyTweez wrote: What's that chunk of metal on the back for? Is it like a spring loaded thing to whack the body? Agree with you on the finish aen it's ugly as.

Re: Fender Will Ray
That Mozak makes more sense to me than the tele. I still can't understand why they never contoured the back of the Tele.

It's a Hipshot B-bender, and the ugly finish on the Will Ray Jazz a caster is 23 karat gold foil leaf applique.Tweez wrote: What's that chunk of metal on the back for? Is it like a spring loaded thing to whack the body? Agree with you on the finish aen it's ugly as.

Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

Re: Fender Will Ray
And what about the later Will Ray "Mojo-Caster?"
It's even uglier than the Hellecaster model.
I do like the guy's playing, though. It's got a great sense of humor.

Re: Fender Will Ray
This guitar isn't really anywhere close to being a jazzmaster as the pickups are supposedly really high output. They're basically a jazzmaster's answer to the seymour duncan invader.

I once saw a guy with this guitar that had things like that all over the body, literally all over.pullover wrote: That Mozak makes more sense to me than the tele. I still can't understand why they never contoured the back of the Tele.

Practically everytime he moved it made weird noises, it was so funny to watch especially as hid face grew redder and redder
