Am I the only one who prefers a blonde/white guard to the blackguard look?

Something about the blackguard is like the sunburst strat to me - really "done".


...although I'll say this - I LOVE the flatpole pickup sound that my tele has.

I like both...if I go for white guard, it has to be single ply, though

I was thinking about giving up on the Vintage Hot Rod 52 tele and just getting an American Standard in black.
Then I saw this :
