For guitars of the straight waisted variety (or reverse offset).

Interesting Fender Sparkle Color

Post by FenderBob » Sat Jan 13, 2007 10:05 am

I know this guitar isn't an offset...but I just wanted you guys to see the sparkle finish.  It goes from green to blue to purple depending on how the light hits it.  It is a mexican made standard strat - back of headstock says "special edition".

I am easily distracted by shiny objects.

I like that finish. Very much indeed.

That is way sweet! I am trying to get my jag repainted in sparkle. House of kolor makes some nice chamelion sparkles as well as regular ones.

Hmmm...I don't really care for any of those in the plain light of day, but, I bet those would look great underneath the stage lights!

You'd need a metallic guard or a green/white guard though to avoid any finish-induced headaches.

it's the motion that makes any sparkle finish

Infliktor,  Nice!  You've got the same.  :)

What do you know about these "Special Edition" MIM strats?

I ordered the color sheet, they responded promptly so I guess I will soon see what they have to offer.

Good lord I love this place!!

Where else can you find people into Offsets, Swervedriver AND sparkle finishes?!!  :D
They've called me home.

You tell her she looks wonderful but she'll just have to wait.
