does anyone know what kind of guitar rivers played in they earlyer years of weezer ive heard its a warmoth but im not really shure
still havent thought of a signature

yes, it is warmoth, I am trying to find the link where they tell all about it

It was a Charvel Strat copy, after he smashed it he used a strat with a DiMarzio humbucker in the bridge and a lipstick pickup in the middle. Then he got a Warmoth Strat copy. On The Blue Album he also used a 60's Jaguar and two Les Paul Juniors (one was a Double Cut).

Just from the billion or so times I've listened to the album I'd say the clean guitar parts on Say It Ain't So, Surf Wax America, and Only In Dreams were for sure the Jag.  The beginning of Only In Dreams has some really nice trem wobbles.
