Maggieo-what Hamer stuff do you have?  I've been a LONGtime fan of those and have had a hundred or so pass through my hands (I think I'm down to three dozen or so at present!) ??? Great guitars.

Yep, teles and SGs here, too.  I've always thought of them as the Daffy and Donald to the Bugs Strat and the  Mickey LP.  How's that for weird association?
One more guitar, then I'll practice!

I don't hate $trats per say, I mean they're comfortable to play and sound cool. Yet, they don't make you think 'wow this is cool' it's just sorta indifferent

I've got a 1981 Special and a 1992 Sunburst.  They're great guitars.

And one with a Tele, just because...

I love strats. In fact when I got my strat in 74, I was torn between a strat and a Jag. The only reason I bought a strat was it was cheaper and I am a big Hendrix, Trower fan.
However, I always wanted a Jag or a JM. They look sleek like a strat, only sexier, IMHO.
Once I got a Jag and a JM, I discovered the fact that they are very different in sound from anything else made by anyone.
Teles are also very unique - no one makes anything like it, except when it is copied.
Humbucker guitars are made by everyone and their brother, and so are strats.

The Jag, JM and tele are unique in their appearance and sound. The only problem with the tele is it is not very attractive with that big body and little head, kind of like a turkey or a brontosaurus.

The Jag, JM and strat are all very pleasing to the eye, and look like a very curvy female. And I think the fact that they look like a young woman is one of the reasons why men like them.

That's funny ;D ;D, but those are fighting words!!  I think Teles are beautiful.  I find them incredibly comfortable, too!

Well they are beautiful like a woman with a big bottom who is comfortable.
The strats, Jags and the JMs are like girlfriends, the tele is like your big sister.

It's been a long time since I've owned a Tele or an Esquire, but I'm working on one right now.  Hope to have it wrapped at some point in '07!

I'm also a huge Hamer fan - imagine that!  Digging your Hamers, Maggieo.  Here's my '91 Sunburst:

yeah, i really like the look of the Special. I'm not normally into Hamers, but the basic look of that one really does it for me :)

Here's one of my faves.  James Honeyman-Scott anyone?

Or Elliot Easton, perhaps?  Hmmm-approaching an "offset" here.
